When the winds of change blow, some people build walls and others build windmills (Chinese proverb)

Why is it when change enters our lives we react differently depending on what life has handed us previously.

As the chinese proverb says some build walls to protect us or block us from the upcoming change while others build windmills

which will use the change as a chance to learn and possibly utilize what life has handed us.  I heard it once said that if we don’t like the

direction the wind is blowing (since it is controlled by God) and since we can’t change it we do have the opportunity to

trim our sails!  Are you reluctant to embrace change when it happens to you and fear what the change might to produce in

our lives?  Having been though a few life changing events I have to encourage you to seek God in the changes because

He ultimately holds the manual of life!  It is sort of like when I am driving a car and there is a person in the car that has a good

sense of direction…..which would be just about anyone since my sense of direction is less than perfect I will generally ask their

opinion unless the GPS is still keeping me on the correct path.  Go to the source of life and look to Him for guidance in both times

of change and times of peace…..he will direct our path and will freely give us wisdom whenever we ask…. James 1:5.

May God bless you today with the ability to accept what we cannot change.
