So on June 30th I kayaked the third leg of the journey around the island.
I kayaked this leg with Betty and we put in at the head of the island at Thompson’s island. We kayaked with the island on our right side and passed by the Twin Islands. It was very pretty and the wind was in our back. We kayaked along seeing Hadley Point and shortly after we were at the ovens. The wind being in our back was good but it also made it a little difficult when the waves got bigger because they would carry us along and it was not a peaceful feeling as we road the wave. We ended our journey at the beach on the right side of the pier in Bar Harbor. This leg was eleven miles and took us four hours.
